I did the same. Right now I am using Rite Aide that I had in my cabinet but are not expired. I am not going to switch until my ob puts the pressure on me.

Re: PRENATELS

My dr had given me samples but when I finished those, it was going to cost me $60 with my insurance so I just brought over the counter ones and she said that they are exactly the same. I used the same with my first.

Re: PRENATELS

I take Prima Care One, they are $25 with insurance, every insurance plan is different so it could just be a higher co-pay.

I know a lot of the ladies here have said that their OB was fine with over the counter prenatals. Ask your Dr, if OTC is OK for you. Chat Icon

I take Primacare One too and they are $15 on my insurance.

I would talk to your doctor. That's an awful lot for prenatal vitamins!

I take the script my OB gave me - my OB said I could take an over the counter one - but he preferred the script one. Both the OB and the pharmacist said the over the counter don't tend to have as much folic acid and some extra ones (but you could take an over the counter and get a script for folic acid etc which is MUCH cheaper a month.)

Re: PRENATELS

I take an Isotonic pre-natal. It's liquid form so the absorption rate is amazing since your body doesn't have to break down the pill.

Many OB's sell it, but here is the link:
