Literally just got my BFP...
Is there a thread about what to avoid? Tips/tricks for feeling good in the first trimester? Foods that are good to eat?
How about diet soda? A total no-no, or in moderation?

First off... Congratulations!!! 
As far as questions... You can ask questions on here. A lot of questions could be good for your doctor - they'll often have pamphlets on foods to avoid, etc. You can google some of that too. In general, eat as healthy as possible and avoid certain fishes with high levels of mercury. (There are other foods to avoid but I'm drawing a complete blank right now.) A lot of it is personal choice. I've heard you shouldn't have diet soda but plenty of people DO have it and the baby's fine. Same with caffeine. The best bet is talking to your doctor and then deciding what's right for you.

I would go pick up a pregnancy book so you can learn about the do's and dont's before your first dr visit!
