Finally- a hair stylist that LISTENED
after years of bouncing from salon to salon
I have finally found someone that listened to everything I asked for
I love my hair cut- it's exactly what I wanted, she didn't try to talk me into layers or anything funky
Janenne at Maxius Westbury rocks - esp if you have long hair- she does too- and she "gets it" - she got my hair dry- which no one has ever done before!
finally after about 8 years- the search is over
it was/ is harder to find a good hair stylist then it was to find a husband

this is faced wash + eye make up wiped off and I still have tons of it on
I should have taken a pic of that- Jake's reaction- you look pretty- but not like yourself
I had more make up on then I had on at my wedding - and she thought that was a good every day look

typical Jake comment- but he noticed I got a hair cut
last time I got one- he said it looked the same
I think the make up was a clue
I should have just told her I HATE foundation
the eye make up looked good- but evening eye make up for me - not something I would do for the day
I am so boring when it comes to make up

THANK YOU so much for posting this! I have a gc to Maximus and am so unsure of who to go to. I actually know a few people that love her...but they both went in with longer hair and left with short hair..so I was nervous the same thing would happen to me.
I also prefer a dry cut ...but stylists always look at me like I have 3 heads when I say that
This sounds promising!
And your hair looks awesome, btw!

no where i've gone does this
how much was she
i know prices there go by expertise.
last time i was there i almost walked out crying but of course this wasn't with the person you went with

I told her before hand exactly what I wanted- she asked before my hair was washed
I told her 2 inches off- even it out- and do something with the front
and that is exactly what I got
she said she could relate- b/c she felt the same way about her hair
I suggest you do the same

she was $70 for the first hair cut
and then trims are $60
people range from $45 to $85 I think depending on experince
I really think the dry cut makes all the difference if you have long hair
I saw what she cut off- it was gross- it was so broken and split it looked reddish on the floor - not dark brown

also...my sister-in-law used to get her hair done at maximus and always said that was the best place she has ever been to for cut and color. i forgot who she used though  i think i might try them, especially now that i see how happy you were and how good you look!

I love Maximus. They have a great team. One of the best colorists I have ever gone to was there. She is the only one who got my hair red and not orange.

I used to get my hair done by Jeannene in a salon in Massapequa- but then she went to Maximus - its probably the same woman because she was AWESOME!
Just too far for me to go. Love the haircut!
