Re: do you even register for #2?

I didn't register. My son is only going to be 17-18 months when the baby comes, so all I really need is the double stroller (which we just bought) and the crib/dresser, which I can't decide on.

I did the same thing. Why pay full price if we dont have too? I even lied about my EDD so I get the coupon sooner and I can get the things I need. Chat Icon

I did but it's pretty small. In my group of friends we always do a shower the second time around and I figure it would get me back on the BRU mailing list. Plus you get 10% off unpurchased items at the end.

Re: do you even register for #2?

I wasn't planning on it, but my best friend told me I should. I guess I may end up having a small sprinkle or something. It's going to be a small registry because I only need about 4 or 5 little things & clothing.

Re: do you even register for #2?

I didnt only b/c I am having the same sex and they are only 22 months apart so I pretty much have everything. I just needed a double stroller, PNP, swing and new breast pump, they are big ticket items but we felt we would purchase them ourselves.
my job had a shower for me and my boss we are due exactly same time and I got a swing and a TON of clothes, diapers, soaps, washclothes, bibs, blankets, shoes, headpieces, socks, books, photo albums, hats, hand covers, grooming set, I cant believe how the girls went crazy- I am so set!!!!!

IMO, I wouldn't.

Even if you have the same sex, people will buy clothes when the baby is born.

ETA: I never even got that completion coupon!!

Re: do you even register for #2?

DS and the next DS/DD are going to be 13 months apart. So, like you, all I really need is things that DS will still be using, like a stroller, nursery furniture, stuff like that. I'm not registering, my parents and my in laws I know will buy the baby something, as well as my sister, and his siblings. So I figure that's enough, and whatever we don't get from them we will just pick up ourselves.

I heard that you should only for the reason of getting all the coupons and stuff that they send you. (all the formula coupons and stuff)
