How "comfortable" is your belly?
I am starting to notice a physical change in my belly... I just notice that normal things make me more uncomfortable within the last few days.
Whether it is rolling over in bed, other small movements, or just the general feeling.
I feel a combination of bloated, a full bladder, gas and a little loss of dexterity. This is all constant-- regardless if I just ate, drank a lot of water, etc.
I assume this is normal...or, am I just getting ready for a change and then I will get used to it?

I've been getting more and more uncomfortable in the last few weeks. I can't sleep flat on my back anymore and by the end of the day I wish I could take my belly off and put it away. I'm only 20 W.......

Re: How "comfortable" is your belly?
Get used to it. <--------------------------
as you can see, sleeping for me is a project. DH makes jokes that we ned one of those engine lifts to get me in and out of bed. I mean, I am a stomach sleeper, so that in itself is a joke. But going to the bathroom, GO AS SOON AS YOU GET THE URGE. The only advice I can give. Because if you wait and "jump" up you get dizzy.
I swear half the stuff that goes on they leave OUT of all these books.

Re: How "comfortable" is your belly?
I'm shocked at how soon I'm starting to feel the effects of my belly this time around.
It becoming increasingly difficult to get up, move around in bed, bend over, etc. I am constantly grunting, sighing and moaning without realizing it.
You just get used to it eventually and you change the way you move. The transitional phase is where you are like... oh wait - I can't bend that way anymore!

Re: How "comfortable" is your belly?
It's pretty uncomfortable. I've had some big changes in size and comfort the past few weeks. (from about 28 weeks on). It's harder to get out of bed, pick things up, breathe, a bunch of stuff. FH totally laughed at me last night. I was sitting on the floor next to our book case picking out a book to read, and then I couldn't get up. I was trying to grab onto to things to pull myself up and it wasnt working. I didn't realize he was watching me, but then I heard him just start laughing. So I said, "I'm stuck" and started laughing too. He had to come over and help me up. It's uncomfortable, and funny all at the same time.

Re: How "comfortable" is your belly?
UGH- my DH does a "wonderful" imitation of me rolling over at night . It consists of lots of little grunts while building up the momentum to roll, then followed by a loud "URGHHHHHHH" as I use that momentum to finally shift.
Putting on socks is a joke and don't even get me started on "Braille shaving" the nether regions. Put it this way, DH once asked, "Were you trying to shave your initials into it?"
The big belly- as beautiful as it is (I stare in wonder at it all the time) is a major obstacle in what were once easy movements......

I COMPLETELY agree.... unless it's like labor and you just "forget" how uncomfortable you are. I don't ever remember being THIS uncomfortable with DD (then again I didn't have a toddler to chase when I ws 34 weeks pg).

Re: How "comfortable" is your belly?
29 weeks here, larger than average belly (according to my dr) due to fibroids and I can't really complain.
The last 2 days I feel more weight/heaviness in my belly for sure and a slight change in my back. But nothing major to speak of yet (shockingly!).
I used to always have abdominal discomfort for years, gas, bloat, pressure, etc. Drs could never find what it was. I haven't felt that once, so I am going to assume for sure it was uterine discomfort all along, since I no longer feel that. I assume if it was intestinal I would be feeling it even worse with a baby pressing on the intestines. So I am pleasantly surprised at how comfortable it feels.
I still don't even realize my belly is as big as it is until I LOOK at it.

Re: How "comfortable" is your belly?
Yep, I feel it (18 weeks)
I wouldn't say I'm totally uncomfortable but I was dancin around the living room w/DS and was like "hum, better not do that" b/c I felt my belly shaking Turning over in bed isn't as easy either.

Re: How "comfortable" is your belly?
Just in the last week or two, I've been noticing the 'weight' of my belly, rolling over in bed has been more of a chore and sometimes getting up is a joke
12 more weeks to go! I can only assume this discomfort is going to increase exponentially - woohoo!

I am always grunting and sighing too-if my DH is in another room he'll say, You all right hon?
Rolling over is a project it takes me about a minute. I was proud of myself today because I mopped the floors! My feet are in agony when I get up from sitting or sleeping so I move really slowly but once I get moving I'm OK

Re: How "comfortable" is your belly?
I started officially getting uncomfortable at 30 weeks, my belly is really getting big at this point 32 weeks and will continue to grow! So I know the remaining weeks will continue to be like this. I have a tall sleigh bed, so it's funny watching me try to get in there and get out, I need a trampoline I think. I don't even bother bending because if I do, I find myself just sitting there on the floor, folding laundry etc and need DH to help me up if he's around. Getting out of the bath tub for me has been the hardest though and quite amusing I'm sure!

Re: How "comfortable" is your belly?
Started getting uncomfy about a week ago at 22 weeks. A student dropped a paper today, and I "attempted" to pick it up and I laughed. I can't bend down that far anymore! I looked at him, smiled, and said, "you're on your own now!" It was funny...
As far as being uncomfy while sleeping, rolling over is getting more difficult and getting up from laying flat on my back is becoming a chore. I don't care too much though, I love being pregnant and I don't mind! It's all a part of the process

Re: How "comfortable" is your belly?
I'd say somewhere towards the end of 19 weeks, I was noticably more uncomfortable. I definately feel myself starting to slow down a bit now and finding it harder to get out of bed, off the couch, etc....

Re: How "comfortable" is your belly?
My belly is the least of my concerns! However, I do notice it when I accidentally roll onto my back at night and wake up sooo uncomfortable! My lower back hurts so badly that I can barely move. I wish I knew how to stop myself from rolling over!
