lifting
im 10 weeks....lifted the gint laundry detergent today and a box filled with soda bottles the other day....both times hearing ... "you shouldn't be lifting when pregnant". SO how much is too much??? anyone ask their doc this?

I am not sure... but I lift things like that all the time.... I think its more like heavy lifting... but I would ask my Dr.... lol sorry I am no help

I've read no more than 40lb. I look at this way, there are a lot of PG woman with number 2, you mean to tell me they are not picking up their toddlers. I dont think so. Just use caution.

I'm no help either because I had bleeding after doing too much capet steamcleaning.... since then I've avoided heavy stuff.
as the pregnancy goes on, it becomes obvious that you shouldn't be lifting, becuase your abs are so stretched that your stomach hurts from doing one 'sit-up' (aka getting out of bed!)
I think I've heard #'s like nothing over 20 lbs.... I could be imagining things though...
