16 week check up (question)
Okay i have my appointment the october 6th and the doctor told me they are gonna check the heartbeat on the fetal doppler. And might be able to tell the sex. But I am not due for a sono until week 20.
Will they check and not give me a picture?
And what else goes on at that visit.

if they are only using the doppler to listen to the heart, you won't be able to find out the sex. If they are doing a regular sono, you maybe able to find out at 16 weeks

My 16 week checkup is also on the 6th. I think they will give you a picture if you ask. I am lucky, my doctor does a sono every 3 weeks and my perinatalogist every 2 weeks. I am carrying twins so I am not sure if it is different.

Yeah that sounds weird that they said that....At mine they listened to the heartbeat and i had more bloodwork done, that was it

thats what I told DH, why would she say that knowing I won't be due for a sono. I have to wait another month now probably to find out Thanks for replying back

probably right because twins are higher risk because there are two inside you My mom had that when she was preggo with my twin and I .
