I get up before everyone (meaning DH and DD) and shower. Its my time to relax.

i shower every morning. DS wakes up anywhere from 4:30am to 6:45am (usually at 5:50am) so I get in the shower by 6:10am whether he is up or sleeping. If he's up DH is still home so they hang out in bed together. DH gets in the shower at 6:25am. If DS is up he sits on our bed and watches backyardigans while I get dressed, do hair and makeup. Then I get him dressed when I'm done.

I wake up between 5:30 and 6 to shower and get fully dressed before either kid gets up. We are all dressed and out the door by 7. I put my make-up on while driving.

I shower before he wakes up...

If he is up and moving, I bring him in with me. (sometimes he'll just lay in bed and watch TV- those time I let him be)


ETA- I wake up at 4:50am every day to accomplish this...

I shower before DS wakes up. It used to be at 5:30 a.m., but now it's 6 a.m.

Usually, I shower at night, but if i shower in the morning,I put the baby in his Bumbo seat on the bathroom floor with one of his toys.

I don't even go into his room til after I shower in the morning, so he plays in his crib or sometimes he is still asleep.

When my DS was as little as your DS tho, I would shower at night. My DH works nights too and that is how it worked the best.

I try to shower before they wake up. That said, there are many times they wake just as I'm dragging my butt out of bed and honestly as long as nobody's screaming I shower and let them play in their cribs before they see me (makes it easier.) I've really never had a problem with doing this. If I have to feed DS I do so, and DD usually can keep herself busy in the crib. Once DS is fed he comes in the bathroom in his bouncy or lays on his playmat. If they cry when I'm in the shower they will live. I'm only in there all of 10 -15 minutes if my DH isn't home.

Getting ready - DD has free reign of the upstairs, but generally will sit in whatever room I'm in and play (or watch Sesame Street in my room) and DS is little so he hangs out in a bouncy or on my bed (he can't roll yet.) I try to keep him out of DD reach, since I'm not sure she knows her limits with him yet.

I get up about an hour before DS to pump, shower, fix my hair, eat breakfast & pack up my pump. Luckily for now, DH is home until I leave or even leaves after me, so I can BF DS and hand him off to DH if I have I have to run out the door.

I wake at 5AM when I have to leave by 7 or 7:15AM, 6AM when I have to leave by 8:15 or 8:30AM. My days start at work anywhere from 7-9AM unfortunenately, so it's making a morning routine harder.


It's been a week and I'm exhausted from it! But I NEED to shower in the AM!

Most of the time in the morning - before he was mobile (I returned to work at 8 wks he would stay in his bouncy. After he began noving and crawling, he stayed in the PNP. I put Noggin or sesame street on for him. If I go to the gym at night, I shower after I work out so I don't shower in the morning - it gives me more time to spend with him....
