Those around 26-27 weeks

The babies have not been moving as much teh past couple of days. They still move but are not as active as in the past couple of weeks. Maybe because I am having twins it is getting crowded in there? Anyone experience this? I checked with my doppler and both their HR's are good(144 and 153)

The same thing happened to me around that time. Now at 30 weeks they "move" but don't really kick that much. I feel them turning and moving but not kicking like they used to. I think they are just running out of room.

I am a few weeks behind you - but I would think there is not much room in there - I had a sono yesterday and they were pretty squished at 23w5d.
I also think they go through periods where they just sleep a lot.

Call you dr. if you are concerned though! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Thanks fellow twin moms! I have a sono tomorrow and am reassured by the doppler. I am thinking also I am getting more used to the feeling so maybe I am not noticing the more subtle movements, whereas in the beginning you notice every single thing...

I was nervous when they stopped moving as much, but also as time goes on they won't move places so you will know where each baby is. That way if you don't feel one for a little but you can kinda poke in that area to make them move Chat Icon

It does stink though having them move and kick a lot and then having it slow down, but you will get used to it.

I have days when he is quiet in there. Then all of a sudden it's like a freaken party in there!

I actually complained last night to DH he's been quiet for a day in a half, little kick here and there.. but then last night he was CRAZY!

I am sure w/twins I would assume they are running short on room!

I'm 23 and a half weeks now, I've noticed my baby moving some days a lot and some days not much at all. I don't know why that happens. If you're worried I would ask the dr.

Re: Those around 26-27 weeks

I read online that they also go through a growth spurt around 26 27 weeks so they are tired and sleep a lot. I am going to bring it up tomorrow anyway. I felt them a lot this morning after I posted then they were pretty quiet during the day(but I went out and did a lot of walking) Now i am drinking OJ and am sure I will feel them soon. I'll let you know what my Dr says tomorrowChat Icon
