Opinions needed
Do you think this bedding is way too funky with my furniture..mind you I am looking for a bit of the unusual funky look. I"m doing iron vines from Bilk on one of the walls have hot pink dispersed throughout the room...
Let me know honest opinions, bc my other option is a VERY VERY VERY girly frilly bedding set...I've attached that one too...there is a big price difference as well... Image Attachment(s):

Re: Opinions needed
UGH!!! I know I'm in love with the last one, but its just a stupid price for bedding and if DH knows that we spent that much on the bedding I think he may jump of a really tall building onto the really pretty crib bumper to pad his fall
Any advice as to how to order it this weekend, when DH is out of town for him not to realize how much it actually costs!??!?!?!?!?!?!?

Re: Opinions needed
The second one is a conventional 'match' with the furniture and it's gorgeous - But I don't think that one will work with your vision of 'funky' - and I think hot pink accents will take away from the elegance of that bedding - I would do that look with a much softer and specific vision in mind -
I think the first bedding CAN absolutely work with the furniture, if the rest of the nursery follows suit !!! Go for it !!

See I'm just scared that if I go too funky the nursery is going to look like a tornado hit it and I had multiple personalities while decorating...thats my only reservation
BTW, the second one is Angelique Toile D'or by Little Bunny Blue, that entire line has some of the most stunning bedding I've ever seen....

The second one is beautiful. The first one is funky but not with your furniture. I still have to get dd bedding. All the ones I like are by Nava and they are ridiculous. My DH would have a fit too if I paid that amount for something that is going to get soiled easily

I think the 2nd bed set would match your furniture nicely.
the 1st set would clash big time

Did you see the bedding Juju posted in her furniture post? The second one would work with your vision I think. I like both of these but the 2nd is much more vintage than funky.

Do you have a bigger picture of the first bedding? Is that lace? I can't tell .........
What if you skipped the striped bumper (is that what that is?) and opted for something more plain .......or a floral to kind of 'go' with the feminine look of the furniture? I think you can definitely do hot pink with that furniture - Just b/c the furniture is a specific style does NOT mean the whole nursery has to be matchy matchy - I mean, that other bedding is absolutely beautiful - But I wouldn't pair ThAT bedding with iron wall accents and hot pink .........I think that will look like a you had multiple personalities while decorating !!

Maybe I'm misunderstanding 'funky' ........This bedding would also be BEAUTIFUL with the furniture, but again, I think much more traditional -

Re: Opinions needed
I personally don't care for the 1st one, but like the 2nd one...
but the practical side of me says it's crazy to spend tons of $$$ on bedding when you won't be able to use the majority of it! (even if you choose to use the bumper, you can't use the comforter or whatever coordinating pillows may be included...) so due to safety, it really gets stripped down to a fitted sheet and a receiving blanket....
if you don't intend to conver the crib to a toddler bed, it would be a REAL waste, becuase the comforter will literally never be used!
When we registered for linens, we got the comforter set (for the toddler bed) and registered for tons of fitted sheets and coordinating thin blankets for swaddling (and the stroller).
so while the set is really adorable (truly!), I'm wondering about the practical aspects of it.... (you likely could get away with buying the bedskirt alone and plain fitted sheets and matching blankets!)

OOH no, the wall accents aren't actually iron, they're white basically wallpaper things that looks like the design on the crib and actually on the bumper of the "funky" bedding, here is the link...Iron vines
we're doing that on one of the short walls
we also have a furry hot pink lamp similar to the one in the picture iwth the furniture but hot pink...

Ooooh - Ok. Those are AWESOME Btw !! And they DO match the bumper -
Hmmmm, I still think that very frilly girly bedding doesn't 'go' with your vision - And if you're married to the fuzzy hot pink lampshade NO WAY does that go with the bedding!!! - I think that funky bedding goes great with the furniture and 'fun' look you've got going, with the exception of thse stripes .........What about a plain or floral to make it a bit more 'girly' - but keep your funkiness in there?
I don't know why everyone is hung up on 'matching' the furniture - You can absolutely use a colorful funkier bedding with that furniture - It's probably not the vision MOST people see when they look at that fruniture, but I think it can ABSOLUTELY work -

totally agree with the stripes, but I was thinking I could get just actually a light pale pink fitted sheet to actually mute the whole set down and I agree, I'm not feeling the stripes...
But I'm also loving the frilly girly one....UGH....

I think that would look awesome -
If you do go with that frilly/girly one, which is absoluetly stunning .......... I don't really think you're other stuff 'goes' -
And like another poster said, that frilly one is beautiful, but you really won't get to use the whole thing - Unless that crib converts to a toddler bed - ???

It converts into a toddler bed, but thats it, not a full size bed....
The hot pink lamp is not something that I need to have in the room, it was inexpensive and if it doesn't look good, I won't be upset if it doesn't go.... oh well, i'm going to my furniture store this weekend and hopefully someone there will be able to help me out..watch I walk out with none of these two...

I don't agree that any bedding matches any furniture. You can take it from funky to over the top. And the OP had said herself that it may not match with the furniture.
Did you already buy the furniture?
