JuJu or anyone who has had a myomectamy
I read on a pp that you had a myomectemy. I had one at the end of May. I had to wait three cycle before I could try. I was just curious about your experience. Did you get pregnant naturally or did you need help? My RE wants me to try for three months on our own and then see him after that if we aren't PG.
How long did it take you to get PG?
Will you have to have a c-section? I was told I will.
Thank you in advance for your answers. When I read that you we PG and had had surgery I felt hopeful. I've been trying for over two years and finally have some hope!
If you prefer to send my FM, that's ok with me.
I know I don't post much at all- I just don't have a lot of time and don't work at a job with a computer. So I know I'm not a regualr poster, but I would appreciate any answers
Thank you so much and congratulations to you!

Re: JuJu or anyone who has had a myomectamy
Please be hopeful because I know of 3 other girls on this website who had myomectomies and are now pregnant or have babies.
We had been trying for over 4 years when we finally got pregnant. I had been contemplating the surgery for 2 years when I finally decided to get it done. I am so happy I went through with the surgery b/c they ended up removing 8 orange sized fibroids. So it was pretty invasive. How invasive was yours?
They did tell me that I could try naturally after 3 cycles. But About 2 years later or less, I got pg via IVF (actually FET ...frozen embryo transfer).
I did have other issues though. I have PCOS and I have one damaged tube. They found adhesions on the tube near my uterus. I was very doubtful that I could get pg. But, miracles do happen!
AS for the c-section, yes, I have to have one b/c of my invasive c-section. But, I was told that myomectomies recovery are far worse then the c-sections. So, I am happy about that. I actually do not feel sadden that I will not have a vaginal birth but grateful that we will be having a baby eitherway.
ARe you seeing a RE? If not, I would go and see one. You may have other issues that you are unaware of and I don't want you to waste your time. Of the 4 years ttc, for 3 years I was seeing a RE.
The only reason why it took me forever to do IVF sooner was b/c we did not have the insurance for it at the time.
Good Luck and do not give up hope!!

Also, you may want to cross post on the parenting board.

Re: JuJu or anyone who has had a myomectamy
Thank you so much for your reply.
I have been seeing an RE for almost 2 years. I saw San Roman for a year and he kept saying that my fibroid wasn't an issue. After being with him for a year we decided that we needed another opinion. I read on here about Dr. Kenigsburg from LI IVF and decided to go to him. He immediatly sent me for an MRI and removed my huge Orange size fibroid. It was on the outside of my uterus in the wall. I love this RE and feel he knows what he is doing. I'm 36 and don't want to waste anymore time. I'll try for 2 more months like he wants us to and then if I don't get PG I will go back and see him. Because I "wasted" a year with San Roman with 4 IUIs and clomid, I hope I still have money left in my insurance to cover IVF if we need it. I don't know if my surgery is under my 25,000 lifetime for infertility. I have to call my insurance company to find out. WHEN I finally get PG I don't mind having a c-section. I like to plan things anyway and if I recovered from the myomecemy, a c-section should't be too bad! Thanks again

YOur myomectomy shouldn't be under infertility. You'll be surprised that IF coverage goes a long way.
Good Luck! FYI- I am 38. So I know what you mean about not wasting anytime!
