Until next time....
As you know from my little sister's post, we lost the baby because my uterus hemorrhaged. I had a subcordial hemorrhage throughout my whole pregnancy and it bled out. I had surgery last Friday and our incredibly supportive OB thinks that we should be able to have a healthy baby in the future. However, for the time being, we are just taking some time to deal emotionally and physically with all that has happened.
For anyone going in for a D&C, it is not nearly as scary or painful as I thought it might be. As a matter of fact, you are on so many great drugs, I don't even remember the procedure. I did, however, get confused when they said they were bringing a limo to pick me up. I was really confused but excited all at the same time in my drug induced haze until I realized that a "limo" is just what they call a wheelchair. Imagine my disappointment  They get me all the way to my car and when I was moving from wheelchair to the car, I fainted. So what should have been a pretty quick procedure, ended up being most of our day in the recovery room at the hospital getting my blood pressure and blood sugar up. Lucky me...
As far as healing, I think it would have been easier to heal emotionally from if it had happened earlier in our pregnancy ? before everyone knew we were pregnant and before we had become so attached to our baby. We had names picked out. We had cute outfits in the closet. We had a registry started. All of those things make it so much harder to move on.
I've spent a lot of time angry at God. Insanely jealous of every woman who has ever had a full term pregnancy. Critical of myself. But you can only be those things so long before you realize they aren't going to get you anywhere. So, we are just taking time for ourselves to heal and we are thinking about starting TTC after the holidays.

Lizzy, I am so incredibly sorry for your loss.
Not that this makes you feel any better, but LIF just added "TTC & Pregnancy after Miscarriage" board, so hopefully you can turn there for support when you're up to it.
I wish you nothing but the best, and I'm here if you want ever want to talk.
I pray for strength for you and your DH to get through these difficult times

I just knew that when you came back to post that you would do it on a positive note. I have said it before and will say it again - you are one of the most POSITIVE people I know. You are truly amazing.
I cannot even express how sorry I am for your loss. I think about you often and are glad to hear that you are well. And you are right, you will be back here when you are ready and you will have a healthy baby. Best of luck to you!

Im sooo sorry again this happened, and know how you feel, I lost a baby last nov and I didnt want to talk to anyone for weeks, and hated anyone who was pregnant, happily we were blessed again 6 months later, I will pray for you

I'm sure words will never comfort you fully but I wanted to let you know that my prayers and hopes are with you and your DH, whatever path you choose in the future. You sound sooo positive and I'm sure it is so inspiring to any other girls on here who have gone through/are going through the same thing. Keep on keepin' on.
