Re: Snickers?

I'm fairly certain they put her in the hospital..... she was fine at 3:30PM, and heading to the high risk appt at 5pm. she said she would post when she returned and never posted again
All I can say is that I pray the reason she is not on is becuase the high risk Dr. reacted quickly and prevented something bad from happening.
for her little one

Thats what I'm thinking. I'm hoping the specialist sent her to the hospital for an emergency cerclage and they are keeping her a few days for observation to make sure it is holding properly! Being that she went in late on a Friday they probably kept her the whole weekend.

Oh, that's right but didn't someone above say they sent her to the hospital or was that just speculation?

speculation! We have no idea what happened, but becuase her cervix was changing so quickly and it was the first time she sought out a 2nd opinion, it is a likely possibility.... I just hope everything is overall ok, and her little one is doing fine.....

Re: Snickers?
Hi All!
OMG, I came home, saw this and felt so bad for not updating sooner!!!!
I went to the high risk appointment on Friday and after I came home, was so wiped out--I crashed immediately!!
I was really busy with work-related stuff this weekend--trying to get a bunch of stuff together in case I have to go out of work for an extended period of time.
The dr. gave me an FFN, a sono and put me on a contraction monitor (no contractions). The FFN was negative (a good thing) and the sono showed that my cervix was measuring at about 2.1 or 2.2 (they took a few measurements). She thinks that the progesterone is what is improving my cervix. When I told her that I had put myself on as much bedrest as possible given my work schedule etc, she said that while it couldn't have hurt my situation, she thinks it is the progesterone that is doing the trick. She wants me to come back for one more sono before she prescribes bedrest as treatment. If I keep improving, she will probably wait to write the letter. If it gets worse, she will write it then.
She thinks that having a weekly sono/dr. appointment/progesterone injection is a good course of action for now. My activities have been strictly limited (no exercise, sex, walking up/down stairs, lifting ANYTHING etc.) but she feels that working (I am a teacher) is fine for now, as long as I can sit ( I spoke to my boss who says that is fine) and am not carrying heavy things.
Just a little background for those who might be wondering: I have had several cervical biopsies (colposcopies) in the past few years. For years all of my pap smears came back as abnormal and I would have to have the biopsies twice a year. My current dr., whom I started seeing only when I got the BFP gave me a pap smear and it was the first normal result I have gotten since my mid-twenties (I am 32.)
All in all, she thinks my dr. has been following a good course of action for someone in my situation and she didn't recommend any immediate changes, though she is much more open to bedrest that my dr. is.
I go for my progesterone/sono this thurs. and then another sono/ffn/progesterone the week after.
Thank you all for your hugs and prayers and concern!! I feel awful that I didn't check back on here, but I figured the weekend is so slow on the boards anyway and I wanted to get a bunch of work together in case I do have to go out on bedrest this week.
