Family name sign for bridal shower gift?

I am pretty sure my sister got one
people also told me it was bad luck to use my gifts after my shower before I was married
I did- and I am still married!

It would be perfect. I added one of those to my friend's wedding gift (that and a check), and they LOVED it and couldn't wait to hang it. It came out awesome!!

I think it's totally fine. I got things with our names and stuff at my shower. I got a personalized door knocker and monogrammed towels. I saw nothing wrong with it
