My consult with Dr Wu the acupuncturist, ....thanks Lisa!
First of all, I just want to thank Lisa for always answering all my questions. Lisa, you describe these doctors to a T. It cracks me up, every time I meet one of them, I know exactly what to expect ; )
Dr. Wu, is a fertility acupuncturist in the city and today was my consult with him. I can not believe how inspired and hopeful I was after meeting with him. Just like Lisa, had told me, he does like to talk and you can just see how genuine he is. He answered all my questions, so much more thoroughly than any RE has ever done. He was so knowledgeable, I couldn't have been more impressed. He told me about so many scenarios of women who have been in my shoes, and how he helped them have babies. The compassion in his voice and the feeling of pride he had for being able to help couples have their miracles really made me feel I was in the right place.
I am heading back on Friday ; ) He wants me to come 2x a week....until pregnancy and then, 1x a week to sustain the pregnancy. I told him I was open to herbs and therefore, on Friday I will be receiving some.
Btw, all the ladies who are struggling with fsh levels. He kept telling me about his successes and he said, lowering 'fsh' is easy. I believe he currently has 6 pregnant women at the age of 45 who he helped conceive naturally. I do not have elevated fsh levels, but I plan on asking him more about this...so if you have any questions, just let me know, and I will try to get information.
Oh and Donna (sn Donna), I asked him about Dr. Zhang, and he said they had a Chinese dinner together lol...that made me laugh. It's nice to know that he networks with REs.
My next consults are with NSUH (Thursday), Dr. Scher, (monday) the ob/gyn who published the book about how to prevent miscarriages, he explores immunological issues..and then to a hematologist from Cornell recommended by Dr. Spandorfer...Basically I want to make sure, that I have every avenue covered.....
It's interesting to see the similarities and differences in doctors and their perspective. I just want to make sure I am not thrown in some random "unexplained infertility" category....

Michelle.....sounds like a very good consult.
Im also very interested in that Dr. who published that book you mentioned.
Im so happy that all went well.

Thank you everyone. It starts to get very overwhelming not only dealing with bfns but also making sure you are at least on the right protocol and treatment. There are so many angles and options...it's hard to know which would be the most beneficial.
Diane, I will let you know how things go with Dr. Scher ...
Pauline, my consult at NSUH is with Dr. Chu.

Sounds like a great visit Michelle! well Dr. Wu def. sounds like a better choice than your previous acu guy 
But seriously I think it will be great for you, and I really believe that 2006 will be your year!!!!
Pretty cool connection with Dr. Z, I may call their office and see who they recommend for acu, wonder if it will be him
