Sad news on my Birthday.
If anyone read my post from friday into sunday you would now that I had some spotting and cramping. Well, on Sunday I decided I wanted to go to the ER for piece of mind. I was there for 6 hours and was told everything looked fine. The doctor doing my sono said that their machine was so old that she wasn't even sure if she'd be able to see anything. Very reassuring that was! Well, as she was doing my exam I noticed on the machine that I was only measuring 8 weeks 5 days when I should have been 10 weeks. I asked the doctor if I was measuring 10 weeks and she said yes, not to go by the machine it is old. I asked her if she saw a heartbeat and she said she saw a flutter. After all my tests came back they released me and said everything looked fine. By the way my hcg was 9200 which I thought was pretty low for 10 weeks but again I was told it was fine. Well, on to yesterday.. I woke up still spotting and with some pretty bad cramps so I decided to go to the doctor for a better sono. I got there and the sono tech said there was no more heartbeat and that I was only measuring 8 weeks 5 days (just like on the other machine). I was devastated and in complete shock. Just 2 weeks prior I had seen the heartbeat and was told everything couldn't look more perfect. After I met with the doctor, I was scheduled for a D&C on Wednesday, but I guess my body had other plans because I was back in the ER last night with very bad bleeding (passing clots) and the worst cramps I have ever experienced. They did another sono and said most of it had passed and I should miscarry naturally. I will never forget my 26th birthday
I just wanted to extend a very heartfelt thankyou to everyone that was concerned and prayed for me and DH. I wish all of you that are now pregnant a very happy and healthy pregnancy.

I am soo so sorry to read about your loss....I know in part how you are feeling (I too suffered a M/C last year, and that was after seeing the hearbeat) I really wish I had the right words to comfort you, but I don't... just know that everyone here cares and will be thinking about you during this difficult time. The girls on this board are so wonderful and their support is what helped me to cope and get thru my saddness.. so please remember we are here for you as well!

Oh Colleen,
My heart goes out to you. I am so very sorry for your loss. I know how difficult this is, I went through the same thing last year. I know there are no word to ease your pain, just know that others are thinking of you.
