We chose the bedding and the registry is done!!!
So after the bridal shower i was at DH called me and said meet him at Babies R Us...i was in SHOCK!!! Anyway we did a lot of the registry and it is officially DONE...woo hoo. DH did not want a travel system because he is worried about it being clicked in correctly in the stroller or the car...i guess he is right...so we have changed to car seats and the stroller separately. But i am very happy with everything we did. And we chose the bedding...and he caved and went with animals...YEAH!!! He did not want the animals at first until he saw it in person. I am soo happy....oh and yesterday we picked out the furniture from Bellini’s...this was a great weekend!!!!
Update: Furniture added...all of it including crib will be in cherry wood Image Attachment(s):

WAHOO!!! I LOVE that Anthony caved and went with animal print!!! Of course, I am biased b/c I have the other jungle themed set from BRU. CONGRATS on getting SO much done!!!

We also ordered our furniture from Bellini and love it, it came in 1 week after we ordered. We also have that bassinet, it's beautiful!

Really 1 week...they said i had to wait 12 weeks??? Which set did you order...i have the Alexander crib (whihc i could not get the picture to show) and then the Domini series for the furniture...

Nope!!! DH does not trust them...he has concerns about it snapping in to the stroller or snapping in the car seat... or even carrying the baby in it being that it is made of plastic. He prefers a car seat that will not continue to come in and out of the car.

Check with your hospital, most won't let you leave the hospital without a carrier. All big car seats are made out of plastic too...The base of the infant carrier does not get taken in and out of the car, the carrier snaps into it, its pretty foolproof and definitely considered the safest way for a baby to travel, plus the pure convenience of not having to move a sleeping newborn every time you get in and out of the car.

i don't think this is true - you just have to have a carseat, not necessarily a carrier.
but to the OP: my DH and i had the same concerns, which is why we went with the Chicco travel system. the infant carrier is SO much more secure in the stroller than in any other travel system, and they wouldn't sell infant carriers and car seat bases if they weren't safe.
it's a personal decision, of course, but i would definitely reconsider

So what are you getting? An infant to toddler?
My baby was wayyy too small to fit in one of those.
And I am pretty sure all car seats are made out of plastic.

Yes they are all made out of plastic which sucks to begin with...i guess i should also say that this is all coming from a baby safety class that DH and I went to and they spoke about a lot of the dangers of the infant carrier. Also PS they can still sell them if they are safe or not...that is something we learned during this class... and that is why there are safety recalls! The fact that the carrier is snapped in and out of the stroller and the base does wear and can wear out the snapping mechanism. Also we learned that it is not safe to hold the baby by the handles as there has been many cases where the handle has cracked and the baby has fallen out (so you all should carry it from underneath to be safe not just by the handle)...at this point my dh and i feel that this is the safest way...everyone has there own opinion...and this is what we feel is safest... especially after that class!!!
