Veggie gardeners - any veggies yet?
I cut my 1st yellow squash today. My zuchinis are coming out too.
Not sure about the eggplants. Lots of flowers but no eggplants.

Re: Veggie gardeners - any veggies yet?
We had an amazing zuchini last night. We've been eating lettuce since early spring, chives, cabbage, green beans, basil, oregano, mint, cilantro, parsley have all been used too. I've got a handfull of cheery tomatos I'm going to pick tomorrow to eat with the first of our cucumbers. I love this time of year!

Re: Veggie gardeners - any veggies yet?
I've used all my herbs at some point. The lettuce is used and most of it I pulled up,same for the Broccoli Rabe as both were starting to bolt with the heat. My snap peas died...and I still haven't gotten any cucumbers. The tomatoes, peppers and eggplant have babies all over them.
I'm going to plant some radishes and new lettuce this week.

Re: Veggie gardeners - any veggies yet?
I just counted 8 tomatoes!! This is my first time, and I only have 3 plants so I am hoping to be successful.
Mint, basil and rosemary are doing well.

Re: Veggie gardeners - any veggies yet?
only strawberries, which the bunnies got to before we could - no veggies
FYI - Eggplants have a long germination - I'm usually overflowing at Labor Day

Tomatoes and peppers are growing, but not ready to be picked. Eggplant, string beans and zucchini have flowers, nothing yet. I have been using my herbs though.

Re: Veggie gardeners - any veggies yet?
My peppers are about the size of the palm of my hand. My cherry tomatoes are already turning red, with more on the way. DH had two a few weeks ago. My cucumbers are growing wild, but they are still the size of a finger. My chives have been available for some time now.

Re: Veggie gardeners - any veggies yet?
We picked some radishes last week and our first zucchini last night.
This year we tried the garden in a new spot and the deer are having a field day, so far they have eaten our broccoli, beets, lettuce, beans and a few other things. We have a 4' fence around the garden but I guess that isn't enough.
Next year the garden will be back to the original spot closer to the house.

Re: Veggie gardeners - any veggies yet?
I got two huge bags of lettuce, a bunch of string beans and only one cucumber thus far. I have a few others that are about 4 or 5 inches. One zucchini is growing but it has tons of flowers. The eggplant is so freakin slow. I don't have anything but flowers with it.
