The best thing I've bought as a mom, so far is....
room darkening shades for Ava's room! Seriously, ladies, if you don't have them, get them! Ava sleeps in like a champ these days

I actually bought the shades that you pull down, they really work better than the blinds,imo, since they're solid. I have them in my room, too, plus with lined curtains over them and man, I never know what time of day it is! I got them at Marburns.

I was planning on buying these for our room as well as Troy's room!
I saw some on clearance at the Target here in Riverhead! Totally going there today!!

DH has been saying we should get these for Cass's room since it's always so bright in there. I haven't listened to him, but now that you suggested it Rach, I'm going to Marburns this weekend

I was thinking about getting these since Erin's room seems to get direct sunlight all day long. I bet she would sleep longer for me. Thanks for the info! Off to Marburn I go this weekend!

I just ordered white wood blinds that are room darkening because my angel is up at the crack azz of dawn lately
