Sippy Cups Spin off - EBF moms
when did/do you start sippy cups? DS really doesn't get a lot of bottles, but I want him to learn how to drink from a cup. Do you put breast milk in them? TIA!

I started giving him a Born Free Trainer Cup to play with starting when he was about 5 months old. He was using it unassisted by the time he was 10 months old. I really just put water in them. Now when I'm away from him, he gets pumped milk in them.

Great! So you don't use bottles anymore when your away from DC? Just the sippy cups?

i bf till 13 months but ds started the spout sippy at 5 months and had been drinking from a straw sippy since 6 months. so much easier than transitioning off a bottle!

started handing the sippy to her around 5 months and i'm glad i did. she had no clue what to do with it but it became familiar to her. by the time she was nine months she could totally use it. when i stopped BFing she went right to the sippy at one year. soon i will start the straw with her.

I EBF my first. I started giving the sippy with water at about 6 months old for him to just get used to it. He never had BM in it, but either water or watered down juice. At 1 year, I put milk in it and he did fine.
