What temp do you keep CAC on?
We just turned the CAC on last night for the first time...(this is our first spring/summer in the house) and was just wondering what you keep the thermostat a?

Well, i'm in FL... but during the day we keep it between 76-78 when we're at work and at night we drop it down to 70.
If we're home on the weekends we keep it at 74-75.

I like it to be FREEZING during the day. I usually set it anywhere between 60- 65 degrees during the day and 65 at night...though I really haven't needed to do this yet.

I am glad I don't pay your electric bill, I keep mine at 72 if I am home during the day, 75 at night and 78 if I am out.

When we leave for work during the week, it is set at 78...At night it drops back to 72 & when we get home from work it goes to 74 & then on the weekends 74

Our thermostat is programmed to be 74 when we're home and 78 when we're out (CAC is left on for the dog!)
I had it at 70 yesterday because my mom was here and DH gave me the "you're killing me" look and turned it to 74.
He reminded me that Keyspan and LIPA will receive most of our paychecks if I do that - this from the guy who lets the dog outside every night with the backdoor wide open and likes to leave the windows open while the AC is on.

Same here we leave it on between 76 - 78. It all depends on temp outside we then adjust it.

we turned on our CAC for the first time this weekend. We have it at 78 right now, and it seems perfect.
We have a 4 week old baby, so we don't want the house too cold.

75 at night, during the day 79....but off if we are out. I have a tiny apt that cools down in no time.
we would like it cooler, but then we would never leave home! and I challange myself with the electric bill each month to keep it the same or lower.

Well, DH and I are constantly changing it. I am comfortable with it at 70...DH turns it down to 66.
So, everytime he passes the thermostat, he makes it cooler, and then when I pass by I make it higher

Our CAC is relatively brand new. The whole system was put in 2 years ago.
I am home all day and I keep it between 76 and 78. When we got out for an extended amt. of time, I bump it to 80.
At night, it's set for 76, but if I am warm, I'll put it at 74 for the night. Very cool

Usually around 70
Is it bad to turn it on and off or is it better to leave it on and set the temp? This is the first time I ever had CAC.
