Do 4 year olds play these yet?
Board Games like Candy Land and Chutes and Ladders, or is 4 still too young?

It's the time to start them playing. Candyland is geared towards children that can't read (hence the pictures on the card).
My 4 year old loves Trouble because she gets to count the spaces.

DS (just turned 5 this month) has been playing CandyLand and Chutes and Ladders for well over a year. CandyLand is all color-based, and C&L is a good way to start counting.

My daughter is 3 and plays Candy Land and Chutes and Ladders and Hi Ho Cherry-o. She also loves Elefun, Lucky Ducks and Gone Fishing.
I will say the Candyland definitely holds her attention more than Chutes and Ladders.

chutes and ladders seems long and tedious to many 4 yr olds who I have worked with.

I will say the Candyland definitely holds her attention more than Chutes and Ladders.
Same exact answer except no clue what Gone Fishing is - I will have to go find that one...My son has been playing them since he turned 3. I hate Lucky Ducks....that is one noisy annoying game - lol.
