Try to do as much walking as possible this weekend!! It's good that the head is really low, I had tha with DS and labor went pretty quickly

My friend took castor oil with her first child, I believe it really cleaned her out and it did work for her.
I hope you don't have to take it and little baby boy will want to come and meet his mommy this weekend

I was 11 days late with my son . He was due May 18th and was born May 29th. Please do not drink Castor Oil. It will just make you sick. at lleast that is my opinion.

Oh Julz..Wish I could get over there & work on some acupressure points for you to get thnigs moving!!!
I'd aviod the castor oil...I think it will do more harm than good.
Keep doing the deed, take a nice relaxing bath & enjoy a drink! (I did those three exact things to finally get thnigs moving for Alex- I was 9 days late!)

Sounds exactly like the ending to my pregnancy. I had low fluid levels. I remember drinking TONS of water and the levels went back up.
I wouldn't do the castor oil. Do a search on here - I was going to do the same thing and asked the girls about it - they scared the life out of me!!!
Hopefully you will go on your own before they have to induce you. But, if not, I was induced - and plenty of girls on here have been also and had vaginal births. Mine only ended in a section bc he was so big.

I would NOT do the castor oil- it will make you so sick. I had to be induced and it was fine- I had a regular birth, no C-section and the pain wasn't too bad, especially once I had the epidural.

The midwife also suggested drinking castor oil this weekend. I am sooooo nervous to do this but may consider it to avoid the induction.
They did this on an episode of a Baby story story once. The mom-to-be was also using a midwife. She instructed her to drink castor oil, and sure enough she went into labor that night.
I say hold the nose and let it flow!

Just a lurker but, I have to tell you that I used castor oil with my second, on the advice of my very well known high risk OB. She would not allow me to go past my due date and gave my a rx (although you don't need it for castor oil). I remember saying to her, that after all the high tech intervention I had (including at least 20 sono's), "this is all you got for me--- something my grandmother would have done?"
Sure enough it worked. I have to confess that I used more then she prescribed on the advice of the old women owners of the Greek restaurant I ate in the night before giving birth (we ate there all the time and they knew me for years). Can you tell I really didn't want the induction which I technically had but, I was contracting when admitted to the hospital and the pitsoin just helped moved things. I gave birth in less than seven hours and all was good.
So don't be scared of the castor oil but do be near a bathroom.

aw, I know how you feel, I was 8 days late. Come out little boy!! I hope you go on your own and don't have to be induced.

Hope your baby boy arrives real soon!! I was 40 weeks when my fluid level was really low....they induced me that night. I know every dr. is different. Hopefully you go on your own.. GOOD LUCK!!! you're almost there!!!
