Breeched Baby

At 26 weeks my baby is breech.

Has this happened with anyone else and has the baby turned on its own?

Re: Breeched Baby

It's still early the baby has room to turn on their own. DD was breech until 29wks then she flipped on her own.

Re: Breeched Baby

I am 21 weeks and had my Level II a few days ago and the baby was breech. The doctor wasn't concerned. They said it's early and there is lots of room for the baby to move around so they will change positions a lot until they settle into one position. Not sure if that is true at 26 weeks but I would imagine you still have plenty of time for the baby to turn. I am going back on Tues. to finish my Level II so hopefully my baby will have moved out of the breech position too.

It's still very early. My baby is currently face down but my OB said that still means nothing, they can even turn during labor.

Its still really early, the baby will probably flip around several times before "GO" time. I wouldn't worry about the position until you get closer to 37 weeks. From what I've read and what my OB said, at 37 weeks they are normally large enough that flipping around is difficult and they then consider them officially breech. As you get further along, if the baby is still breech, start doing prenatal yoga. I've been doing it my whole pregnancy and there are many poses that are known to help flip the baby.
