what should i do? (long)
sorry all of my posts are about this, but after poking around on the internet i've succeeded in freaking myself out. i promise i'll be more helpful and less of a pain in the a$$ when i get this figured out.
you probably read my other posts (because i'm a big whiner) about not getting my period since feb. although it freaks me out, i was assuming (hoping) it was just stress since all preg. tests have come back neg. but now, since friday my stomach's been really bothering me. first i just felt crappy (stomach virus? bloating?) then i thought maybe my period was on it's way (no...) now it's really uncomfortable and i have this consistent pinching pain in my lower right side. when i'm active it's accompanied by a sharp pain (on the right side) and occasionally in my lower back (which could be a separate issue). i'm also REALLY tired (exhausted, not sleepy tired) and a few times at work today i really thought i was gonna pass out and had to side down. i'm a bit shaky too (now i'm ok though b/c i've been sitting for a while). i couldn't get an appointment for a general doctor or gyn today so i'm taking tomorrow off (don't think i could be much use anyway) and going to the walk-in clinic.
my question - should i wait? i admit i do feel crappy and really uncomfortable, but i'm not in so much pain anymore (since i've been doing nothing since getting home from work). i don't know if a trip to the er is justified, but i'm nervous after reading all the possibilities online. any advice? tia.

My adive is to be tested for PCOS. No period in 3 months, cycstic ovaries could be causing you pain.

What is your concern? That it could be an ectopic? You would get a positive HPT if this was the case. . I would actually be concerned about appendicitis, especially if the pain is in your right side. Does it keep getting worse if as time goes on? I think if you are concerned you should go to the ER. Better to be save than sorry.
ETA: I agree with PP - you should be tested for PCOS. But if you are having severe pain I think you should get it checked out ASAP

Re: what should i do? (long)
First thing I thought of was appendicitis. My BFF had those symptoms and she ended up having to have it taken out ASAP. If you are still having them I would call Ask a Nurse or go to the ER.
HTH!!!

Re: what should i do? (long)
I agree that it sounds like PCOS or an ovarian cyst. I do not have PCOS but I did have a large cyst a few years ago that had to be removed. It started out in a place where I couldn't feel it growing, so it got really big by the time it started causing problems. I also had major stomach issues and thought I might have IBS. I found out later it's because the cyst was pressing on my colon (sorry, TMI!) I had very similar symptoms to yours and had to have it surgically removed - by the time they got it out it measured 15 cm . The only thing different is that it didn't mess with my cycle, BUT my gyn said she was very surprised that it hadn't, so it's very possible that's what's going on with you. Definitely try to get an appt with a gyn ASAP - if they can't feel anything they will send you for a sonogram.
Hope you feel better soon
ETA: I would bet money that the shaky feeling is from nerves from reading scary stuff online - the best advice I got with my situation was get off the internet - I was CONVINCED I had something horrible!!

Re: what should i do? (long)
just went to the dr - they did a full workup and sonogram. everything looks clear physically and i need to call back next week for the results of my labs. she's thinking my hormones might be thrown off because of stress and/or it might be because of thyroid issues (my levels were SLIGHTLY/borderline high a year-ish ago when i went, but not high enough to really do anything about according to my old dr.). she did say my right ovary felt "fuller" than the left, but the sonogram showed nothing so i'm assuming that's hormonal too. hopefully it'll all work out and i can say i feel much better now that i at least know SOMETHING.
thanks for the help. =0)
