Re: Soccer Tots
I'm thinking about doing soccer for my 3yr old in the summer but it's in Deer Park I believe (not sure if it's the same thing) It does sound cute and a friend of mines nephew goes to this one and she said it's cute.

Re: Soccer Tots
The 24-36 month says "parent participation" anyone know what that entails? I'd like to take my sister's twin with my ds but not sure if I could handle all three if I have to "participate"1

Same here and in the spring they only had Wednesday mornings But I won't go into how mad that makes me because I don't feel like flamed.
They are all so far away for us since I am practically in the city.

Re: Soccer Tots
I just contacted them and only Huntington Station, Farmingville, Bethpage and Calverton will have a summer session for the young ones. Too bad.

Re: Soccer Tots
DS goes to the one in Bethpage and has been going since he was 18 months old and he loves it! Of course, I can never take him b/c I work but MIL and DH take him and I've gone a couple of times when I took off from work.
Anyway, parent participation is necessary b/c toddlers don't listen! They need a parent there to help them and show them what to do. The coaches are great but they can't give one on one instructions to each toddler. Also, it's a big open space so some of the time DS and others would take off and the parents would have to go after them.
All of the activities they do try to teach the kids something like how to listen, how to work with others, etc. It's not really playing soccer. They do kick the ball around but they also do obstacle courses with a slide and a tube they climb through and they play and chase around hoola hoops. They also stack cones and knock them over and some other games too. It's a lot of fun. DS is signed up through the summer and he'll be there in the fall too.

Oh wow I never heard of this and we live in Farmingville. I would love to sign DS up for this. I'm not sure he will have any clue what to do though. He is 19 months.
