TMI - very embarrassing but concerned...
I'm not sure if I should be posting this on health but this is the only board that I post on and lurk.
I have an inflammation on the area between my private area & my bottom. Is feels irritated and burns sometimes when I pee. These are the only symptoms that I have - just a feeling of irritation, itchy at times, and sometimes it burns when I urinate. I feel completely normal - health wise.
DH & I TTC and not sure what this could mean. Any advice would be appreciated. Do I call me Gyno for an exam and how do I explain this over the phone.
Thanks

I'd call your GYN. Tell them you think you have an infection (maybe a yeast or tinea) and could they see you ASAP.

Do you shave down there? Could be like razor burn - I know I'm reaching here. Is this new or has it been for a while? I'd make a gyno appt to be sure.

Not to be naive or anything but what doctor do I call in this type of possibility?

My BFF had them when PG and her OBGYN took care of it for her. Even if that isn't what it is I think your "woman dr." would be the best bet since that particular area is their specialty
Hope you feel better soon!

OK, I have been dealing with hemmy's for years. And you go to a colon rectal surgeon for this and they sap it an it goes away. Takes 30 seconds. But, you should not feel anything if you pee. But, if your backside feels itchy or stings when you sit down, that is what it could be. And you can (TMI) look in a mirror and see if you have a flare up back there or if its down there.
FM me if you need more info.

I've noticed I get somewhat of this feeling (not the burning while peeing) right before AF comes. Are you expecting her?? My DR told me it's my body changing.

It could be an ingrown hair or a pimple. Sometimes we need to get more air down there. I would make an appointment with the OB/GYN just to make sure everything is a-okay.
