My family belonged to Southward Ho when I was a child. I also dated a guy that belonged to St Georges, both very nice at the time. I have no idea about today's membership fees.
We belong our our neighborhood's beach club, the fee is very low.

The last one I worked with had an annual fee of $45,000, plus a minimum per month that had to be spent on the golf course or tennis courts, in the restaurant, and with the pool. It is also not including the initial registration and membership fees. They also expected additional expenditures that were not "required" extras.
This was in 2004.

My dh's ex belonged there and his first wedding was there
I still laugh at the name
