Re: Ladies 40 and over?
My cousin conceived naturally at 41. I don't really remember how long they were trying though. They got married later in life and decided they would just wouldn't use any form of BC and if it happened, it happened, if not then they were fine with that, too.

Re: Ladies 40 and over?
I'm not quite 40 yet.. close, but not yet.
However, I have three small cousins who were conceived naturally. My aunt was 40 when she gave birth to the oldest boy (he's 8 1/2 now), and less than a year later she was pregnant with twins. Today is their 7th birthday. Oh, and she wasn't trying to get pregnant either time.

good to know there's a chance.
I can't help but feel so overwhelmed that I may have waited too long. I hope not.

Of course there is. Don't think about all the what ifs. You will drive yourself crazy. Have you seen your doctor yet? I would first see your doctor and get checked out. Don't worry yourself without knowing beforehand if there's something to worry about!
For all you know, you are just fine and are Fertile Myrtle! LOL

My neighbor is 41 and is going for IUI now...
ETA: They told her she has a good chance of conceiving with the IUI!

Re: Ladies 40 and over?
FIL's wife conceived naturally after 40 (her 1st child). I don't know how long they were trying (nor do I want to), but she got pregnant almost immediately after their wedding.

Re: Ladies 40 and over?
My BF didn't marry until she was 38. She had her first at 39 and just had her second at 41. It took a few months each time and she did have a few miscarriages but, she always conceived.

Re: Ladies 40 and over?
I'm very reassured. Thank you all.
Hopefully nothing will be wrong and we just have to be...ahem...more aggressive about it.

Re: Ladies 40 and over?
At 39 my SIL decided she was finally ready (after 10 years of marriage) and 3 months later she was pg naturally with my nephew (who is turning 10 next month).
Keep positive you never know.

I am 40.5 yrs old. We are going to start next month. It doesn't help that am 50+ lbs overweight, but I'm hoping for a miracle.
Good Luck to all.
