Going off pill and using CBEFM...
If you used the FM and had been on BCP how long did you wait to start using the monitor????

yeah...
my theory was this...
I started with the OPKs and saw how that worked for us. Unfortunately, not so well so now I'm onto the CBEFM.
The FM is expensive and I figured if I jumped right into using it, knowing my luck after like one or two cycles I'd get PG and have "wasted" $200+ bucks.
Also, it took awhile for my cycle to regulate itself so I wanted to wait until I was regular, which at this point I am.

i went off the pill august 8th
didnt get AF until sept 27
i started using the CBEFM on my cycle that started Nov. 29th

I haven't started using it yet. It's been this graduating phase of TTC for us.
1st we just BD'd when I *thought* I was Oing.
Then, I started tracking a bit more.
In Feb we got serious and started using the "regular OPKs". This is our 3rd month using CBE OPKs. I'll give it another month or two before going over to the monitor.

i went off the pill and didn't start ttc for 4 months because i was having surgery, once we started trying i waited about 2 months and bought it off ebay with a box of sticks for about $100

1 month.
i borrowed mine from a friend. when it comes time for baby #2, i am definitely investing in one ASAP if i can't borrow hers again. it completely took the guesswork out of everything.

I bought it right away (when I stopped takign the pill) but never got to use it that next cycle b/c I got preggo  Defintiely BD around your 14th day...thats what I did just off the pill and got preggo right away. I have a healthy 7mo old!!!
But I'm using it now for #2

Clear Blue Easy Fertility Monitor
You pee on a stick (which you buy separate from the monitor but only works w/the monitor) for 10 days...around CD6-CD15...put it in the monitor each morning and it tells you your "fertility status" as low, high, or peak. High is when it detects your estrogen levels rising getting ready for ovulation (usually around CD7ish) and Peak is when it is detecting the LH surge...which is the hormone produced that tells your ovary to ovulate...around CD14 for normal cyles

I went off the pill in October. Got preggo and had an early m/c in November. Bought the CBEFM right away, and on my second cycle using it I got my BFP on Feb 17th. There are places online that you can buy it from that are a lot cheaper than in the store. That's what I did!! I refused to use OPKs for more than one cycle b/c I figured it wasn't as easy to read and/or predict when I was OV so I bought it right away. So glad I did!! Good luck!
