Another OPK question/recommendation

What brand do you use? DO you like it? Would you recommend?

I use the Clearblue Easy Digital OPKs. I love them. They are a bit on the side, but I really like not having to interpret lines. There is no mistaking that .

I have also used First Reponse brand too. They seem to work just fine. I took one when I wasn't Oing & it was clearly negative & I took one during my LH surge that was pretty clearly positive. I just hate interpreting the lines because I am too nervous that I will do it incorrectly (I even posted pics on here to make sure it was really positive ), but if your comfortable with that, I would recommend those too.

I've been using "regular" CBE sticks. Not the ones that give the . Mine just give the surge line.

Used for the 1st time in Feb, and liked it.

Last month they never gave me the surge line (which is essentially the , or green light to BD, if you will). In some cases, I wasn't even getting the reference line.

I couldn't find the digital sticks that give you the , so I bought them again.
I started using them today, I'm on CD9, and they are even not giving me the reference line again.


If they don't "shape up" I'm buying another brand next month.

are you sure you are following the directions the right way?

are you holding it in "mid stream" or are you peeing in a cup and dipping the stick in?

if you are dipping the stick in a cup you could either:

have it in too far
leave it in too long

this happened to me

I use the Clearblue One Step Ovulation Predictor sticks. These are the ones that just give you a line.

I have used them for 3 cycles and have always had a very clear positive result (the line is as dark as the test line). I have also had negative results (no or very light lines) on the few days leading up to ovulation.

I would recommend them - though I am not pg yet!

I use the CBEFM- not a kit but I really like it. Its easy to use and I don't have to guess at the results.

I bought the CBE ovulation predictor and got a defective test (thank God they are refunding me the $40!!!!) ....I also had some First Responce line tests my sister gave me (she had leftovers) they worked fine for me.

I used the CBE digitals when we were using OPKs. Like Dani said... I liked not having to interpret the lines since I feel like I'd always be second-guessing myself!
