totally break out after going off BCP? Im really getting upset I had really good skin and now i look terrible

I am so miserable.
I have been to the derm. twice in two weeks and b/c we are TTC, we can't use ANYTHING!!!!
However, an awesome LIFer suggested that I use Lever 2000 antibacterial soap--and it's working!
I am also using Tea Tree Oil as an astringent on my back, which is my biggest problem area and though it stinks, it is also working. DH says he sees a vast improvement--in ONE week!
My derm. actually asked me if I would be willing to postpone TTC to go on accutane or back on BCP. I was like uummmm...no...
Then I asked her about glycolic peels/laser treatments and she kind of discouraged me from doing that...don't know why...it would be $$ in her pocket!
So yes, I am definitely feeling you. Try the Lever 2000 Antibacterial and if you can't find that, buy some pure Tea Tree Oil and dab it on your zits with a q-tip. I also have the Zeno which works pretty well.

I didn't break out terribly but I def notice that now I get a zit a few times a month. It sucks. Since it's not too bad I just deal with it.

I got more pimples (but not too many) after I went off BCPs. On the flip side, once I got PG this time around, my skin got better, my hair got healthier and my nails got stronger. It's a trade off, but worth it.

yes my skin was always good and going off bcp it became terrible especially my back, i went to the derm and they can't really give you anything if you are ttc, i stopped trying for about 2 months because i had to clear up my skin, he gave me a cleanser, some other foam, and pills, and it cleared me up,

I did initially, but it cleared up with time. Also, going on pre-natals seemed to help my skin.
Sorry you are going through that, it stinks!

Yes! I always break out around AF and I swear once I get it controlled again, its already time for AF, so it suucks! I feel your pain!

I've been off BC for about a month and a half and my skin has stayed the same. I almost never get pimples. When did you start breaking out? Is this something I should prepare myself for or would I have already been breaking out by now??

i went off mid January and this is the first month leading up to AF that its happened
