When do babies start humming or singing?
There are times when it sounds like Cailen may be humming a tune - it sounds a little like singing - it is soooo cute... We always have music on, and he's gone to music together, and I have a song for almost every activity, so it would make sense for him to singing, but I'm not sure if he has a melodic babble or is actually humming....
He will be 1 next Friday (!!!!) - so, BTDT moms, I am just curious when they do start?

DS is 9 months and definately "sings" at times- often in the car!
He loves music and instruments, this fascinates me as DH and I have NO musical aptitude at all.

Noah was a singer from the time he was about 6 months old. He would imitate melodies that I sang to him. (Like the Abba Song) Momma said I was a dancer before I could walk. She said I began to sing long before I could talk.

DD has been singing and humming as well as dance for quite some time now. She LOVES music! It is too funny!!
My DD is 11 months now

Bella's been "singing" for a few weeks now...especially to songs she hears over and over. She's just shy of 10 months. It's the cutest thing EVER!!!!

Christopher has been singing since he was about 6-7 months old and dancing too..I love it

Cailen has been dancing since he was standing at 8 mts!!!  His mommy is always dancing, so it was bound to happen!!!

Noah started humming in a rhyming way at like 6 months....and now he started to sing..its so cute.

Sabrina has been singing for a while. I want to say it was right before Christmas when she started. So around 10 months.

Dylan is too young to speak words but his babbles definitely have a singing quality. I have no musical skills or rhythm but I just don't care and I do sing to him and dance, probably not as often as someone with talent would, though.

Ava started singing REALLY early on. I'd say like 7 or 8 months. She could sing twinkle, twinkle little star before she was even a year old.

Lucas started at 9 months.
On Palm Sunday we got to church late and had to sit behind the choir on the upper level. Lucas loved hearing them sing...a little too much. When they stopped he kept going and the mics were still on.
Anyone at St. Barnabas that day...that was us

hannah has been singing death cab for cutie since 17 months! i have to video her singing soul meets body. its the cutest thing ever.
etd to add though that at 12 months i could make out some simple songs that she would hum b/c she didnt know the words.
