As most of you know my father passed away last week. Today I have the horrible experience of burying him. I had him flown back to Long Island so we could bury him in Calverton. Dad was in the Air Force. He always said that Uncle Sam owed him a hole in the ground. He never said where his hole had to be so close to home it will be! You see I was devastated when my parents moved to Florida. We missed so much time we could have spent together. So now when I have an opportunity to keep dad close to home, I will do so.
It certainly is times like this that makes you think about what is really important in life - good friends and family and the times we get to spend together. So cherish the times you have together. Never ever take it for granted. And when trivial disagreements come up, why not be the humble one to forgive and forget. And by all means do what ever you can to buy out the time to spend more time with loved ones.
I sincerely wish all of you and your families the best in everything. Cherish your relationships and do what ever you can to help them continue to grow!
