Riddle me this!
I know this is sooooo TTC 101 but I was just reading and found this:
Once you ovulate, and the egg is released, it only has between 12 and 24 hours to live. If it doesn't mate up with a viable sperm - the chance in this cycle is gone, and you need to wait til your next menstrual cycle to start trying again.
Since my obgyn is telling us to BD every other day once I am finished with AF...... this means if we wait 48 hours to do it, we will in fact have a very good chance of missing the O point since it only lives 12-24 hours????
If I am not pg this cycle I am DEF getting that darned digital thing!

Re: Riddle me this!
Normal sperm life inside a woman ranges from 1-5 days. So if you BD every other day you are still covered.

ITA.
You can also BD every other day until the week you think you ovulate, then BD every day that week.
Good luck.

But the BDing every week would not be for a full week but for a few days rather???

Re: Riddle me this!
I read somewhere that BDing BEFORE you ovulate - like 1-2 days before, is a better way to go than when you ovulate or after....
