DH and I dream of bringing a "New York" food store to Key West.
In the store we would make everything NY - bagels, pizzas, sausage and pepper heroes etc. PLUS we would get to LIVE in Key West. We would import the water from here etc. so it would really be authentic.
We decided to do this after getting pizza in Key West  the line for this place was OUT THE DOOR every single day so we were so excited to try it. It was basically a glorified Dominos - it wouldn't last a day here!!
Oooh can I come work for you?
I LOVE Key West!!!
For Me:
A card store.. Get to sell Lotto tickets, all kinds of greeting cards, Precious Moments, ETC.
OR
A Wedding Consultant...I LOVE weddings!!
of course you can come - the more genuine NYers the better!!

In reality: a nursery.
In my fanstasy world I would move to an island and have one of those little shop that rents beach chairs, umbrellas and floaties, and sells water and sunblock.

a doggie boutique where it's spa like services (grooming, etc) with doggie clothes and fresh baked goods that I made. One day when I become rich enough to get the means I will do this. I already have the color scheme and what it will look like done in my head (pink and brown as a theme!)
I'm actually starting my own dog walking/pet sitting business once I move in a few weeks. I'll be in the Woodside area so hopefully I can get a bunch of clients and make decent money. I just wanna be happy and I'm not happy being a server

A children's bookshop.... like meg Ryan's character in "You've Got Mail." I would have story time and activities as well as selling books and educational toys.

I would also like to do something like this.
Or a bookstore OR an old fashioned soda shoppe or my own psych practice (once I get the PhD...someday.)
Or a wine bar/lounge...that serves wine and cheese, and breads and crudite and other good stuff with Jazz musicians playing at night.
There's nothing like that on LI...that I know of and I'm so sick of the typical LOUD fried food and beer bars.

I'm starting something now that was always a dream-Consulting for Dental Practices
But my true dream that is my motivation for working is to own acreage on the North Fork & have a bed & breakfast that is green-solar/wind power, all green building materials.
And I'd grow the food & grapes organically & raise chickens, goats & Alpacas. We would specialize in eco-tourism & possibly even have interships on the farm. We also have music & craft festivals & other seasonal events.

I went to school for graphic design and would love to open a studio that creates educational software for children with disabilities.
Other ideas on totally differnt wave lengths are:
-a small restaurant/bar
-travel agent/writer/photographer ...anything that pays me to see the world ;)
-run a bed and breakfast near the ocean anywhere
