charting "O" ???
when charting, which day counts as the "O" day?
the day your temp dips LOW or the NEXT day when it shoots UP??

The day AFTER you ovulate, you should see a rise in temperature that typically lasts 3+ days. This is why temping is useful for seeing when you DID ovulate as opposed to when you WILL ovulate.

no, actually your temp should rise steadily prior to O, and then shoot up the day after O. the "big" dip really only shows during implantation or just before AF. if it's a small dip consistent over several cycles (i am guessing .5 degrees or less) then that could be an indication of O.
"Dip before rise: You may see a slight temperature dip before your temperature rise. If you are lucky enough to get advanced warning of ovulation like this over several cycles, it is a good way to time intercourse very close to ovulation. You may, however have a dip that is not followed by a sustained rise and mistakenly assume ovulation is imminent when you see a dip. An individual dip on its own does not tell you anything about ovulation or your fertility. "
