Re: warming bottle on the go?

They have portable warmers, but to be honest I did not like the way they worked, and it seemed to take forever to warm the formula/milk enough.

DS drinks cold or room temperature formula most of the time.

I have this one:

I pump and use this when I need to heat up a bottle and I am out - it does take about 15-20 mins to heat up the bottle but I just prepare ahead of time and don't wait until she is starving to warm up the bottle.

Re: warming bottle on the go?

Run the bottle under hot water in a bathroom sink.

I also considered wrapping the bottle in a thermacare heating pad.

Now I use powdered formula and this is no longer an issue.

Also, you may be surprised that you are willing to BF when you are out.

mine drank cold.. though I wasn't sure that I wanted her to.

I usually ask for a cup and fill it with hot water. In 5 minutes, the bottle is warm..

Re: warming bottle on the go?

Ask for a cup of hot water at the food court.
This will work 4x's faster then anything you can buy.

Since you are breastfeeding you may want to consider ducking into a dressing room and breast feeding there. Clean, Quiet & Private.

I use the on the go bottle warmer like above when I'm on a long car trip or on a plane.

I either run it under the warm water in the bathroom sink, or go to the food court or starbucks and ask for warm water.

DS would probably drink it cold, but I like to at least take the chill out.

This is what I did as well OR if there was no warm water available I would take it out of the cooler pack about a 1/2 hour or so before feeding and hold it or something - just so it wasn't very cold. She'd drink it warm or cold, but i found cold gave her more gas.

Re: warming bottle on the go?

I have the Second Nature bottle warmer. It's a little pricey but worth it. Unlike the others it doesn't need to be plugged into the car outlet to work. You can buy refills of the battery and take it with you wherever. It works pretty fast for a portable bottle warmer. You can buy it at www.target.com
