I think we're officially Potty Trained
It's been a week now and almost no accidents. We're able to be out and about as usual which is great! I've also stopped reminding her and she has been going on her own.
I'm SO relieved. She has to be 100% potty trained to start school in August and we were no where near ready and it just seemed to happen.
Of course we're still in diapers at nighttime but we'll tackle that in time.

Congrats for you.
How did you get her to start trying? My dd wants no part of it. I even tried to bribe her with treats and she won't sit on the potty. Did she just start asking or showing interest or did you have a special technique? Can you tell I am desperate? We have to be potty trained for school too and we are no where near ready.

Thats great Jen, I wish Julia would do the same, its been so hard training her, its like shes afraid to let her pee and poop out on the potty, I had big girl underwear on her before and she pooped in it and got so upset I felt so bad..... Julia has to be trained by Sept.

How old is your DD? DD is almost 2&1/2. She really had no interest sooner.
I definitely believe the Potty Power DVD helped alot. She's been watching that on and off for about a month and we kept talking it up about her being a big girl and having potty power.
We had potty seats and such available to her and we just let her sit on them on and off. One day she kept telling me she pooped but she didn't so I sat her on the toilet and lo and behold she pooped on the toilet. We made a HUGE deal of it. We got her a mini cake that night and celebrated. She really picked up on the celebrating and how proud we were part.
Anyway we decided to do the reward route. I got a bag a little chocolate eggs and decided one day that we were home she was going to wear underwear. I kept making her sit on the potty every 30 minutes and that day she just got the hang of it. She got a reward every time. I got that fold up travel potty seat and we used that too.
I think she was just ready. I also talked up school and playing soccer and how she had to be in big girl underwear for that.
Now at a week later I don't really have to remind her anymore and she doesn't ask for her treat every time. If she asks for one I still give it to her since it's still new but obviously that can't last forever.
HTH. Defintely try the DVD.

That's great! I started traing my son on Monday (with a little push from mamandadayof3 since she's training her nephew also) and I havd to say ds is doing good but we're still at about 2 accidents a day and also in diapers at night.
