Is Anyone else going to carpet the nursery?

Me and DH were talking about this today and we are both on the same page that we think a bedroom is just more comfortable with carpeting in it. Anyone else?

I just moved into a house and the nursery has pergo. I am going to leave and get a throw rug for the center. I definitely prefer carpet.

We will have carpeting in the nursery and our bedroom for the same reason.

we are thinking about it. The only thing is we probably won't be here for too much longer, so we are not sure if we should spend the $ or not. what to do

We rent, the room we are using for the nursery has neutral beige carpet in decent condition so we are leaving it alone.

Yup, the bedrooms upstairs have carpet. I wish ours did too, I hate walking on the wood floors in the middle of the night when it's freezing!

We need to replace the carpet throughout the second floor of the house so we are going to do the babies bedroom in carpet. The downstairs of the house has travertine and will have wood floors.

Re: Is Anyone else going to carpet the nursery?

We put carpet in the bedrooms in 2003 (burbur - sp?), I think it'll be best when the baby starts crawling since the bedroom will be the play room too - unless we find a new house which we are hoping to do.

I do want to have the rug professionally cleaned before we put the baby furniture in though. I have a Bissel steamer - which is a must have for those with pets and kids and is great for upkeep, but I think once every 5 years is good to get a professional in to clean it up. I still have to get the Queen mattress in that room done too.

Exactly my point! I hate that, cause our hallway where the bedrooms are, are all hardwood and its freezing during the night when you have to walk on it.

Re: Is Anyone else going to carpet the nursery?

We have carpeting in the nursery. I just feel like it's safer and warmer. Plus we have hardwood floors throughout the rest of the house so we really wanted to change it up a little.
