It is not unusual for good old DH to have reservations about starting a family. Mine was very resistant at first but now he is on board. Don't worry.

Mine was also not so into it. But, now he's totally different. We had a conversation just the other day and he asked me how badly etc.. and then I turned on him and asked him the same and he said he wants a baby as bad as I do. So, he'll change. Men are not built like us. But, they come around eventually. Just don't talk to much about it to him, just yet. Mine thought I was nuts when I started temping and peeing on a stick. And they dont' usually seek advice or investigate. Or when they do its from their guy friend who also knows nothing about it (even if they have kids). They dont' even know how the whole process works.

Ahhhh the solution!!!
DH and I were opposite at the beginning. For me, I just think everything out way too much. It was an episode of FRIENDS that finally did it for me. Monica and Chandler, talking about TTC, Chandler stating that you shouldn't plan because you'll always wind up with a reason not to. DH just flat out told me that he doesn't want to plan our kids around our lives....he wanted to make them a part of our lives. It took me a while but I came around.
I wish you the best of luck and enough patience to talk things out and hopefully enlighten him. It really did work for me. I just needed to come to terms on my own. That thing called LIFE always gets in my way!
