That was easy
I put my old car on Craigslist a couple of weeks ago, then DH realized we didn't have the title. He ordered a new one & naturally when it arrived it still had the lien that was paid off 5 years ago on it , so we requested a lien release, it finally came so I relisted the car on Craigslist Friday & put in the ad the first person to get here after 11 am with the amount I was asking got the car. The first guy came at 10:45, didn't even want to start it, counted out the cash, put a plate on & called triple A to come & tow it to his house.
Within 10 minutes I had an angry mob on my driveway, but at least its gone!!!!!

It was very easy, just price your car right & it will sell FAST.
Too many people on craigslist try to get a small fortune for OLD cars.
My price was very fair, I didn't want anyone expecting a rolls royce for the price!!

Oh my lord! that is awesome! I am trying to sell mine now. I have it on Craigslist but that doesn't help. Never had luck on there. Going to put it in the paper and in the auto trader paper.

I think there are a lot of mechanics that look for cars on there.
Our minivan died last week - the head gasket blew and it wasn't even drivable. I put in on Craigslists and within the first 2 hours 4 people responded.

I grew up in the car business, I know what you mean. I told my DH I'd work my used car lot magic & the car would be gone....he doubted me but now he knows!!!

we had a similar experience on craigslist with an old washing machine. dh posted, one hour later, the machine was gone and we had cash... gotta love it
