Just bear in mind that the family member whose privacy you violated will likely be just as p!ssed at you as you are at him / her.
Whatever was said, you violated someone's privacy -- and that will come out, too. Be prepared for the anger to go both ways during that converstaion.

true that - but IMO, if it was me, the only one's feelings who matters is mine. And it was unfortunate that it happened the way that it did - but it happened - time to take action.
If someone is going to be cowardly and talk behind someone's back, they deserve to be called out if they get caught.
And whatever the consequences, so be it.
