DH gets a raise every year and a bonus on top of the raise. I think it's usually around his anniversary of being hired.

Re: Do you get a raise every yr?
I just got my report so yes, I am. It's ok - more like a cola raise. But I'm happy with my whole package. I know change is hard, but sometimes its worth it!

Re: Do you get a raise every yr?
We get performance based raises every year. I usually get 5%, except for years when I have been promoted and then the rate change isn't based on a percentage but on the new position.

Re: Do you get a raise every yr?
I would definitely speak with your boss and tell her it's time for a raise. I think you've been extremely understanding in order to not have a raise for the past 3 years and keeping your numbers at the same level or above for the last 3 years. You need to make a case for yourself.
That's what I did - and was rewarded in a big way last year.
However, there have been years where no one has gotten a raise because of company performance due to the economy. Since we're a private firm, raises come if the company is doing well for the year.

Re: Do you get a raise every yr?
Basically we get a cost of living raise, so 3-5%. Plus we get a bonus. This happens every December, we all get reviewed at the same time of the year.

Re: Do you get a raise every yr?
Yes, I get a bonus each year (very generous one too) and a raise. My bonus is always much larger than my raise. I work in finance so we tend to have larger bonuses. This year the industry is falling apart, not sure how mine will go.

I'm part of a union, so our contracr gives us raises, and we get another raise in Dec by our supervisor if he feels we did an outstanding job during the year.

Re: Do you get a raise every yr?
I am new to corporate America but I do think my company gives a raise each year. We get reviews mid year & year end and the raises vary based on performance: 0 - 10% with most getting 3%. I got 3% last year (was only with the company 4 months) but I received 7% this year.
Everyone also gets a yearly bonus based on regional performance with an indiviual performance modifier. My bonus ended up being 21% of my base. Last year (although only with the company for 4 months) my bonus equated to 18.5% of my base.
The bonus component is much larger than the raise - bonuses are 3 times as much as the raises and I'm guessing this holds true for most the company.

Re: Do you get a raise every yr?
I am self employed. For one type of work I do, fees are set by statute and have not gone up in about 6 years and before that it was something like 15 years. For the other type of work, I can raise my fees but there is an industry standard. That went up in 2005 when laws changed, but so did that amount of work involved. I love what I do but people who take automatic raises for granted get under my skin now that I do not have that anymore!!!!!

Re: Do you get a raise every yr?
We usually get a step increase and a 3% COL increase.
However, the COL in the DC area went up 4.1% last year. So I'm still 1.1% down.

Re: Do you get a raise every yr?
Yes, I get a raise and yes, I expect it. But that goes along with the industry I am in.
If I worked for a really small business then no, I wouldn't expect it. Iknow how that goes with my dad. sometimes his workers make more than he does. And they don't make much
