Those Shecky's Girls Night Out..
tell me the truth..is it worth it? I'm not a "sample" sale type of person, and I'm not an accessory buying type of person either...
is it worth it for me to check it out?

It's worth it just for the goody bag & the drinks.

Ditto! I went to one a few years ago & the goodie bag was great. You can find some good deals, but its mostly like a crowded trendy fleemarket. The line for drinks was insane though.

Re: Those Shecky's Girls Night Out..
I am going to be the odd ball and say I didn't like it (esp the one at the puck building).
I thought the gift bag (and I got a "premium" one) was trash, maybe one thing I would use (I don't participate in fushia lipgloss)
I thought the place was PACKED, they only had beer and one kind of mixed drink.....
The tables of stuff were OKAY, I guess my experience was bad, bc they had a table for curly hair product. The woman talked my ear off for like 10 mintues, I finally bought the stuff and when I tried it at home---HORRIFIC I swear to god I looked like this guy

Re: Those Shecky's Girls Night Out..
I went to one a couple of years ago and had a great time. I bought a one of a kind Kate Spade bag when I was there.
I don't remember what was in the goodie bag specifically but I'm pretty sure there was some makeup, a bunch of coupons, maybe a book of some kind (like an astrology thing) and a snack... there was more but I'm going back a bit. I remember my girlfriend's bag being slightly different than mine.

I went to the one at the Puck Building.
Its a huge shopping bad full of samples of makeup, perfume, full sizes of things like hairspray, a brush & comb set, lotions, makeup bags, some edible food, candy. CD's.. I got a t-shirt, a tank top, shoe inserts & some sort of costume jewelry.
Oh yeah, alot of coupons, @ a few trial subscritions to some magazines

my BFF said the same thing...which is why I'm passing...
A good friend of mine is an Editor at Allure, and I go shopping in their closet...so the giftbag isn't the enticing factor.

I will say though that every spring Henri Bendall shuts the store down and opens it to a girls night out---NOW THAT'S a goodie bag

Saks does one too. I heard it's really great and only $80 or something like that, but you get a TON of samples worth much more than what you paid to go.

DITTO!!
They used to hold it at the metropolitian pavilion, it was MUCH better than the one at the puck building... it's a mob scene and way to many rooms to walk around through...

Re: Those Shecky's Girls Night Out..
My friends and I have done it for the drinks and to buy some cute things (e.g. stationay, t-shirts)--my advice is to get there early
