I have gotten all of mine at Lark and I take whatever artist is available at the time. I love how all of them make you feel so comfortable while they are doing the tattoo's and being themselves and if by being themselves and cursing and joking around is unprofessional it doesn't bother me in the least b/c i wouldn't want them being phony nice to me. i totally agree you want them being themselves, but not being very friendly or helpful and saying how some guy was masturbating on the phone with the chick and saying alot of foul language isn't very professional. I am heavily tattooed and know the ins and outs of a tattoo shop but what if I didnt have that knowledge and was looking for my first tattoo? I wouldn't have been impressed. even though some of the work there is fantastic

I can go through childbirth twice with out meds but I am deathly afraid of getting a tattoo.
Doens't make sense to me. 
I was thining about 3 sets of baby prints somewhere on my body but I am sooooooooooooooooooooo
scared!!!!!!!! I don't even know where I would go or who I would go to.

I am terrified of needles normally, like I start shaking when I have to have bloodwork done, but both tattoos, didnt even flinch, I talked and laughed the entire time

don't be scared!! It's really not THAT bad. depends where on your body it is. I am a HUGE baby when it comes to getting tattooed (hell, I almost cry when getting blood drawn) but it's more annoying than anything. It feels like a cat scratch throughout the area. It hurts way more the day after. That's when I become a huge  and ask DH to do a bunch of things for me. haha. I know you can do it. just make sure you go to someone you're 100% comfortable with! they'll talk to you and make you think of other things rather than focus on the "pain"

but i JUST got a job @ Three Kings Tattoo where i am working with ALEX McWATT who is amazing
im getting my portrait done next month by Darren @ Rising Dragon
alas, these are all in the city, not sure if you wanna come all the way but i can get you a appintment with alex reletively soon. he really is amazing at all styles

who did you go to? they used to have amazing artists there and I went there recently. trashy people work there, cursing like every other second saying some raunchy things. plus there's an artist there I used to work with and he's pretty terrible. I'm thinking since my artist now lives in Atlanta and my other one is impossible to book some time with, I'm gonna go to kings avenue
Tommy. I forgot his last name. Little blonde guy. GREAT artist... It was about 5-6 years ago.

No idea what happened to him. When I mentioned to Thom that Serge had done my nip he got this tight look to his face so I didn't mention anything else. I asked a friend who had a few pieces done by him and he had no idea that he had left either.

kitty thats so cool! he did my friends sleeve. i cant wait. i see him march 15th
eli doesnt work at the shop anymore, he works out of his home. i think hes a bit easier to get ahold of now.
