I just got a ticket!
My first one in NY ever  I was northbound on 135. Boo.....
That was an expensive trip to Target I went on

uuuuugh!--I got my first ticket ever about 3 weeks ago! I was on my way to Stop & Shop to get rolls for dinner because DH forgot them----Those were some expensive rolls!!
I feel your pain!

get a lawyer- you can plead it down
I have the one I used- if you want his number- I can dig it out- it was $100
he got my speeding ticket down to failure to signal! and I didn't have to go to court

That stinks. I travel 135 a lot and its always loaded with cops. They hang out right about exit 10 or so....

uh oh - i have a relative who is a cop in that area - he wasn't tall w/ light brown hair, was he??

Seaford oyster bay constantly has cops on.. I see people getting tickets on that road all the time. Good hiding places on 135

Like others have said the 135 is known for cops. I have gotten pulled over twice on there. I got out of the first one b/c the ticket didn't match up with a code on the deposition they sent me a few weeks later (you should get one soon). I didn't have a lawyer, I noticed and explained it to the person you claim your plea to (usually 2 years later b/c Nassau is so backed up). So look that thing you get in the mail over.
The second time they had the wrong colour of my car on there (they had my old car's colour). They said I can come back and fight it, but I was leaving the country and knew I wouldn't be able to come back for a ticket). I talked it down to a tailgating ticket instead. In Nassau you can try to talk it down if you have nothing else on your record, unlike Suffolk.
I have learned my lesson and use cruise control on the 135 and when I go upstate.

You can definitely plead it down in Nassau. Just show up for court on the specified date and you will meet with a DA who will plead it down for you. Generally, the fine is the same but you won't get any points.
