over feeding question

At one month how many oz of formula was your DC eating? DD is at 4oz and not making it the 3 hours between feeding before she is freaking out to eat again. I am worried that we will be over feeding her if we go to 5oz.

Re: over feeding question

Mostly 4 oz but there were times when he wanted more and I gave him more.
Especially during gowth spurts where he would eat more for about 3-4 days and then go back to his reg 4 oz

We were at 6 oz at 6 weeks. Definitely try 4.5 or 5

Re: over feeding question

DS was eating about 5 oz per feeding at that age, every 2.5-3 hours.
At 8 weeks he can still barely make it 3 hours between feedings unless he falls asleep (and he now takes 7 oz).

My ped told me if we will know if we are giving him too much if he spits up alot at the end.

Re: over feeding question

YOu can't overfeed an infant-I would up it to 5 or 6 oz and see if she takes it. She may start going longer in between too!
