I can't believe I did this -
DH and I got a gift card from Macy's worth $200 for registering there for our wedding (we were in the Rewards Program where you get back money when people buy you your gifts).
So, when I got the card in the mail I said to DH that I was going to treat myself to something really nice b/c it is "found money" and there are no restrictions - so, anything I want in ALL of Macy's  I decided on a Coach bag - why not, right? They sell them inside Macy's!
I got there and felt the overwhelming feeling of GUILT come over me: The idea of spending all of it on myself and only getting DH a card for Valentine's Day  Then, I walked over to the men's section and spent ALL of the $200 on him - a nice tie, a shirt, TWO pairs of dress shoes and a small bottle of cologne - all on sale! and all stuff he REALLY needed b/c he never buys for himself - he is always either saving or buying for me - so, I had to do the right thing...
I just can't believe I could ACTUALLY do it - the bag was so nice  
I feel so good though!

Thank you - although - technically it is not our first married Valentine's Day. We were married in a private ceremony by a JOP on December 11th (our one year anniversary of being together). Then, we actually had the formal Mass in a Church and had the reception in September. But, for us, Valentine's and all celebrations of our relationship are still really special 
I'm sure he will appreciate it - I have to keep myself from staring at the picture of the bag I gave up online LOL being a woman - I'm sure you can understand how hard it was to WALK AWAY from that Coach counter!

The great thing about him was how he INSISTED that I go and use the "found money" to buy the Coach bag - it's not even like he said "do you really need another one?" KWIM? So, he'll be really surprised and happy when he opens everything. Well, at first he'll prob be like where the H E L L did you get the money for all of this?! LOL then when I TELL him I used the CARD he'll be happy ahhahahaa!
