Car insurance $$

We have old cars and are about to get a new one or even two. DH claims insurance will be insanely expensive so I wanted to get an idea of what people pay for full coverage (including collision) for a new leased car. Looking at a Nissan Altima or Honda CRV.
We are both 30 and have good driving records. We live in South Nassau. Anyone comfortable sharing what they pay annually for something similar? TIA

Re: Car insurance $$

we pay $195/mo for a 2003 chevy monte carlo and a 2006 jeep liberty. We both have clean driving records and great credit, plus we get the multiline discount for having a renters policy and the multicar discount. I work for AND have State Farm.

I switched Rich from Allstate to State Farm and he went from $175/month to $90/month.

I had someone change from a 1999 to a 2007 today - same exact car, just 8 years newer, and his insurance dropped about $100 for the year.

Re: Car insurance $$

We pay 120 a month for 10 months for our 05 Nissan Altima and a 20 year old ford (the ford costs us $70 a year)-$500 deductible full coverage

ETA: We each have an accident on our record-I was rear ended and DH was sideswipe so we arent listed as being at fault.

not 100% sure, but i think we pay about $1000-$1500 a year for our 2 cars. we have USAA because DH works for the department of defense.
a lot of times rates will go down for newer cars because they have new safety features, etc...

Re: Car insurance $$

Newer cars tend to be cheaper.

More safety features, airbags, and qualify as safer vehicles so most likely you will be saving $ instead of paying more...Unless its a sports car.

heads up-4 doors are cheaper than 2 doors also.
